Why Steel frames and not timber?

Australian-made steel frames are the perfect option for a tiny home. They are strong, straight and lightweight. Good quality Australian made frames have a corrosive protective coating and are termite-proof by nature. Prefabricated steel frames speed up the building process significantly, saving you both time and money, being able to complete your project sooner.

Although timber frames have their place, they are not suitable for Tiny Homes on Wheels. The main factor here comes down to their weight. They can also be less stable if not braced professionally, making them unsuitable for highway use, creating unnecessary risk during transportation.

Steel Framing offers unsurpassed durability when compared with Timber frames. It won’t warp or flex as timber does, meaning the lines of your building remain straight and true over time.
